#DevSpeedChallenge is created and sponsored by POD s.r.l. (“Sponsor” or “POD”), Via Cavour 49, 15030 Terruggia ( AL), Italy.
By participating in #DevSpeedChallenge you agree that your participation will be governed by, and you shall abide by, all of the following rules (the #DevSpeedChallenge Rules) outlined herein.
1. ELIGIBILITY:#DevSpeedChllenge is open to every developer, from every country and of every age. #DevSpeedChllenge is administered in Italy and by submitting an Entry to #DevSpeedChllenge you consent to the transfer of your personal information and, in the event of a minor, said minor’s parent or legal guardian consents to the transfer of his/her child’s personal information, if applicable, to Italy, where the laws about data privacy may be different than the laws in your country. The country in which you reside may have different laws that apply to you, and you are solely responsible for complying with all applicable local laws in the jurisdiction in which you are located. POD reserves the right to verify an individual’s eligibility to participate in #DevSpeedChllenge.
2. REGISTRATION PERIOD:
The current Challenge will expire on the 31st of december 2016. Entries posted after this date will not be considered valid.
3. HOW TO REGISTER AND POST YOUR ENTRY:
To participate to the #DevSpeedChallenge, visit www.qipster.com during the Registration Period and follow the registration instructions.
4. SELECTION:
POD will select the winners of the challenge according to the following criteria:
- The web app created by the developer must function properly and must be freely accessible.
- The YouTube video linked must show in detail, without speed acceleration, the development process of the entered web app.
- The video must be no longer than 29 minutes and 59 seconds.
- The web app must use the data in the database provided to participants during registration.
POD reserves the right to disqualify any participant that does not match those criteria. The decisions of POD are incontestable.
5. PRIZES:
The prizes will be delivered after the potential winners agree to the terms of delivery in the Winner Notification email. The winners will be granted a 30 days free subscription on Qipster.
6. WINNER NOTIFICATION:
POD will notify the potential winners by using the email address(es) provided on the Entry Form. POD may in its discretion announce the name(s) of one or more potential winners on the Site or in other forms of communication. POD may at its discretion use the submitted video or web apps for commercial and promotional purposes. If a potential winner is unreachable by email the potential winner and/or his or her team may be disqualified and/or POD may elect not to award the applicable prize, as POD may determine in its discretion.
6. DISPUTES:
All decisions made by POD are final and are not subject to challenge or appeal.
7. GENERAL TERMS:
All national, state, municipal and local laws and regulations apply. If any provision of these rules is invalid under the law, rules or regulations of a particular country, it will only apply to the extent permitted. POD reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who violates these #DevSpeedChallenge Rules, tampers with the entry process, and/or acts in any way that would, in any way, discredit or harm the reputation of POD, and/or to cancel, modify, or suspend #DevSpeedChallenge if a Participant engages in fraud or misconduct or other conduct beyond the control of POD which corrupts the administration, integrity, security, and/or proper operation of #DevSpeedChallenge. Without limitation of the foregoing, POD reserves the right to terminate, modify, or suspend #DevSpeedChallenge due to any of the following reasons: act of God; unavoidable accident; epidemic; fire; blackout; act of public enemy; war, riot or civil commotion; enactment, rule, order or act of government or governmental instrumentality or tribunal; strike, lockout or other labor dispute; inclement weather; failure of technical facilities; failure of essential production, or technical personnel to appear or be available; or other cause beyond its control. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, illegible, incomplete, damaged, mutilated, misdirected, misdelivered, or delayed Entries, or for technical or human errors or failures of any kind in connection with the submission, transmission, processing or judging of Entries, including without limitation any malfunctions or failures of computer hardware, computer software, networks or telephone equipment or any technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. Caution: Any attempt by a person to deliberately damage any Web site or undermine the legitimate operation of #DevSpeedChallenge is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of #DevSpeedChallenge, or in the announcement of the prizes. These #DevSpeedChallenge Rules set forth the entire agreement and understanding between POD and Participant concerning the subject matter hereof and merges and supersedes all prior discussions, agreements, and understandings of any kind between them. Notwithstanding anything contained herein to the contrary, Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, at any future time to terminate, modify, or suspend #DevSpeedChallenge for any reason, in POD’s sole discretion.
